We are seeking an experienced Clinical Operations Lead to provide operational leadership for our clinical team while fostering a positive, patient-centered culture. This role partners closely with the Clinical Administrative lead and Practice Administrator to ensure our clinical operations run efficiently while supporting staff development and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:
The Clinical Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of the practice, including:
  • Lead and support approximately 20 clinical staff.
  • Provide daily operations oversight.
  • Supervise and mentor the clinical team through coaching and education.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new clinical employees.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection prevention, and practice policies.
  • Oversee clinical competencies and ongoing staff education.
  • Partner with providers to improve workflows and enhance operation efficiency.
  • Monitor and support the performance and needs of our triage team.
  • Maintain emergency equipment, crash carts, and emergency kits.
  • Manage clinical supply ordering and inventory.
  • Ensure exam rooms and clinical equipment remain fully operational.
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with the Admin lead on employee evaluations, coaching, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and staff development.
  • Assist with implementation of new clinical initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  • Serve as a visible resource for providers and clinical staff throughout the workday.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and excellent patient care.
  • Oversee three office locations.

Qualifications:
  • Current Virginia RN or LPN license preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in an outpatient healthcare setting
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Women’s health or OB/GYN experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Athena EMR experience is a plus.

Busy OB/GYN practice with 3 locations in the Norfolk, Downtown Norfolk and Chesapeake area. We have 9 physicians, 2 Physician Assistants, 1 Nurse Practitioner, and 5 Certified Nurse Midwives.
